Happy Easter and Happy Spring!

The weather here is horrible! One day fabulous, the next day rainy and grey. Campbell is on Spring Break this week, so we decided to hit the mall this morning to see the Easter Bunny! He was SUPER excited but refused to really smile when it came time for the picture. He has this thing where if you say "smile," he'll squint his eyes and stick out his jaw. If you say "don't smile..." he'll usually smile. If you say "laugh..." he'll give you a fake laugh and you can usually capture some sort of cute smile. WELL, not today. None of my tricks were working. This was as good as we could get. I didn't want to ruin his easter outfit, so I pulled out an outfit from last summer, moved down the buttons, and poof...a perfect spring ensemble with his new saddle oxfords from Kiki and Tater. Yes, you are seeing two bandaids on his knees. And no, he isn't just wearing them for fun like many kids do. Campbell got his first (of many) skinned knees yesterday playing on the sidewalk. I guess he wanted to be like his cousin Ana and have boo-boo's for Easter.

The other few photos are from our front yard. When we got home from the mall, the rain had stopped and the sun came out. I just had to take the opportunity to get some pictures of my tulips and the little guy. You can ask my mom, I've always wanted a garden full of tulips in the spring. Well...this year, I got a bag of bulbs in the fall and planted them (all 60 of them) and hoped they would bloom at the right time! Did they ever! I am so excited.

Tomorrow we are off to see Mr. Skip, a children's music performer. Campbell loves him and loves to dance and sing along. We are gearing up for Jim, Marion, and Ana to arrive on Friday. Campbell is SO excited to see his favorite cousin. Stay tuned for great family pictures. There are also a ton more of today's photos on our picasaweb - link to the left.

Happy Easter Everyone!

My chocolate loving child...

Last weekend, Campbell had one of his favorite things in the whole wide world...CHOCOLATE! We went to brunch with the Kruegers and ordered C his very own chocolate chip pancake with whipped cream. Here is the evidence!!!

Continuing to grow...

A few days behind, but here I am taken today - 24 weeks - actually closer to 25 weeks (on Wednesday). With Campbell, I had a 25 week growth spurt, but I think with this little guy, my growth spurt happened between 22 and 24! You be the judge.

My new hobby!

Lately, when I have to fill out a form and it asks me what my hobbies are...I have to really think about what they might be. If I were completely honest, I would put down watching tv, eating ice cream, doing soduku. I am not one of those who puts down things like running, golfing, tennis, reading (except I do like to read gossip magazines), cooking, etc. WELL...now I can put down sewing and monogramming. YES, I said sewing and monogramming. Thanks to Mom and Dad, I have recently gotten a sewing/embroidery machine. I took two day-long sewing classes (made a tote bag and some pajama bottoms), and poof...I'm hooked!

I haven't become too adventurous yet, but have definitely enjoyed making boring Gerber white cloth diapers into fun girl/boy burp cloths. I have also taken plain t-shirts and monogrammed them for Mardi Gras and St. Patty's Day for Campbell. Below are some of the things I've been working on! Will post my bi-weekly self portrait later.

I'm growing!

So, it's been 4 weeks since I've taken a picture of my growing belly! I am now 22 weeks and Baby Boy is starting to kick like crazy. He kept me up a good part of last night, but it's so worth it! The first pictures if 4 weeks ago - 18 weeks and the second is today - 22 weeks!
